Our Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Unit
Our centre has a dedicated Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (PTR) unit for individuals with physical disabilities. The unit provides assessment, follow-up and rehabilitation for children diagnosed with cerebral palsy, spina bifida (myelocele, meningomyelocele), muscular diseases and brain syndromes.
Our Aims
For students with physical disabilities receiving support education at our centre, the PTR unit aims to:
- Enable them to benefit effectively and to the fullest from the special education service provided,
- Increase gross and fine motor skills and maintain the level achieved,
- Ensure they make the best possible use of all orthopaedic aids and equipment they use.
Assessment and Follow-Up
The current status of children receiving PTR at our centre is assessed by our specialist physiotherapists, an individual treatment programme is created according to need, and progress is monitored regularly.
